DC. General Contractor License
With Washington DC’s ongoing transformation, there are many business opportunities to be reaped by those who hold their D.C. general contractor license.
According to the Washington D.C. Economic Partnership, there are $37.1 billion worth of development projects in the pipeline pending to be started in the coming years, with Southeast and Northeast DC expected to experience a larger share of development investments.
Authorizing you to do residential, commercial, and new home construction work in the District of Columbia, holding your D.C. General Contractor and Construction Manager license enables you to jump on the wagon and to take full advantage of the business opportunities presented by the District’s economic dynamism.
For over 10 years, our team at Zitro Services LLC has been assisting contractors apply for and obtain their D.C. General Contractor license. We provide assistance with the entire process, starting with gathering all required documents and submitting a complete application package to the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. Requiring that your business be registered in the District, and that you have either a physical address or a resident agent there, we handle that registration process and serve as your resident agent until your license renewal is due.
Upon approval of your license application, you will receive two licenses, the General Contractor License and the Salesperson License. Both, you, the applicant, and your business become licensed.
Our team is also able to assist you with completing, submitting, and processing your biannual Real Property Tax Report, which you start paying a year from your D.C. General Contractor & Construction Manager license’ approval.
